• 1920 x 1080p

• MP4 preferred, MOV and others accepted

• 24fps preferred, 29.9/30 accepted

• Close Captioning (srt) file

• Text transcript (txt) file

Close Caption Requirements

Close Captions are required for all videos that feature speaking. Captions are uploaded to videos published on Vimeo and YouTube as SubRip Subtitle (srt) files. Captions are burnt into videos that are displayed on site and shared via Instagram. Text transcript (txt) files are made available upon request. Future versions of the website will include these documents.

• Captions should contain no more than 26 characters per line and each set of captions should contain no more than two lines.

• Speaker names are put in brackets.

• Each change of speaker should be identified by a new caption line and each caption line designating a new speaker should be preceded by a dash and a space.

• Captions should not obstruct other text or important visual information.

We’ve used Rev for on-demand captions and transcriptions.
